They refused to give me software for decrypting the files, and instead suggested sending the entire camera (not just the SD card which I offered to send to them) to their US office to have their engineers try to retrieve the needed video. I then tried removing the SD card, which contained the captured videos, but they were in an encrypted format, and customer support chastized me for doing so, and said I would not be able to open the files. I tried all the steps customer support said to try to retrieve the video from the drive, but with no success. More importantly, while it correctly records most drives, it completely missed recording a critical drive, despite the blue light on the unit having been on during the entire drive. It frequently takes several minutes to successfully pair with my phone. It has clever features on paper, but is not reliable in real use. Then, when I tried to view any of my saved drives they wouldn't load at all. After a while of repeatedly updating the firmware, my dash cam just stopped connecting to the app.

This fixed the issue, however required me to update the dash cams firmware every single time I wanted it to connect with the app. I contacted support and they suggested me to update the firmware on the dash cam through the app which I did. This is because apple car play disables my phones wifi connection which is for some reason needed for the dash cam to link to my app. Not only that, but with apple car play on, the dash cam will NOT connect to the app.
